The Educational Issues Committee, originally created as the Political Issues Committee in 2005, meets with various members of the Board of Trustees on a regular basis. The members of the Committee are retirees whose service to the District reaches back to the late 1960s and includes teaching and administrative experience at the three campuses and at the District Office. The Committee provides insight for trustees into the history of the District and offers thoughts on current educational issues facing the District and the California Community Colleges.
